Hand to Heart Village was born from years of hospital stays, surgeries, and cross-country medical travel with our medically fragile child. Along the way, through multiple states, hospitals, and systems, we learned a hard truth: while hospitals care for the child, families are often left to navigate housing, meals, travel, and overwhelming emotional weight on their own, especially siblings. Our lived experience as parents, caregivers, and a military family showed us how isolating this journey can be, no matter where care takes you. Future HeartStay Program
A planned network of short stay lodges and residential villages near major children’s hospitals, designed to give families a safe place to stay, rest, and remain together while a child receives extended medical care.
